Orlando, Florida - Today, My House Productions (MHP), one of Orlando’s most recently emerged production houses launched it’s national music search contest, “Be Heard” which will be a 3-month long contest to find the hottest and freshest musical productions. Bands, composers, producers and artists will all compete for the grand prize of a movie or television score deal, awarding the winning band with the opportunity to become part of a soundtrack and overnight exposure.
“It’s funny, because people always say ‘Lights, Camera, Action!’ but few know what really goes on behind the scenes and the role that music plays and the impact it makes in a movie or television production ,” said Executive Producer of My House Productions, Joel Cruzada. “MHP is very excited to be able to bring this type of unique opportunity to the Orlando music scene and will be developing the selected artists globally.”

The news of the contest launch comes on the heels of MHP’s most recent accomplishments within the Orlando movie production scene, whereby MHP played a key role in providing Marcus Wolf, Sound Composer for ‘H20 Extreme’ featuring actors Chris Carmack (from “The OC”) and Rider Strong (who recently appeared in “Cabin Fever”) with some local Orlando musical talent. Produced and Directed by Bill Scharpf of Mirror Image Productions, and filmed in Orlando, the movie will debut mid-April, 2009.
Another upcoming public release, which will be made during the 3rd quarter of 2009, is the announcement of MHP’s recent ventures within the Orlando-based reality television arena. MHP is currently engaged in exclusively providing musical compositions for reality show scenes and sequences and is accepting contributions from Orlando-based artists as well.
