SEED THE WORLD is a grass roots effort to help those in need who show a desire to help themselves.
A staggering amount of people in the world do not have the money to buy seeds, something many of us can get as cheaply as .10 a packet. Our program identifies people in desperately poor parts of the world and delivers packets of seeds to them to plant, nurture, grow, harvest and eat. Proper cultivation of the land and the crops will ensure seeds for the following year and all the years to come.
By collecting and donating packets of seeds, we allow hungry people to feed themselves not just tonight or tomorrow, but for the rest of their lives.
Our current areas of focus are Eastern Europe and Central Asia. While there are certainly other parts of the world that are deserving, current conditions on the ground prevent us from having the seeds delivered and ensuring that they are properly dispersed.
Appearing soon on these pages will be success stories from people who have received our seeds and are growing fresh, healthy food to feed themselves, their families and their communities.
