Feb. 9, 2009 - PRLog -- Tired of trite, commercial greeting card verses – especially for Valentine’s Day?  At this time of year, many friends and lovers seek the unique way to express their own thoughts and emotions.  They want to give something novel, and candy or flowers don’t qualify.   So Lee Cuesta has published an online how-to article sharing his tips to compose an unforgettable Valentine’s Day poem.

“How to Compose an Unforgettable Poem for Your Valentine” has just been published at eHow.com.  The link to access his article directly is:

Cuesta is a published poet; his best-known poems are “Lament for the Seventies” and “Earthquake Survivors.”  In both these poems, he utilizes principles that he explains in his current eHow article.

“Your spouse or lover is always your Valentine, no matter what time of year it is,” says Cuesta.  “So my step-by-step sequence will guide you to your own, unique poem that he or she will treasure.”

For this eHow article, Cuesta uses his own 20-line poem as a model, to which he refers during the following eight, detailed steps.  “First I encourage the readers to identify the unique elements of their relationships, along with messages they wish to express to their partners through this poem,” he says.  He provides examples from his own poem.  Then he illustrates three types of rhyme, including internal rhyme and near-rhyme.  He also suggests things you’ll need, provides extra tips, warnings and additional resources, along with a photo illustration by Shaun Albert.

Cuesta emphasizes, “My article is valuable for adults of all ages – as well as for high school students and their teachers.”

“It is hard to find the detailed ‘how-to’ articles that answer most questions,” says Cuesta.  “Most of the time the articles are much too simplified.  That’s why I write how-to’s in which I emphasize completeness.”  Cuesta currently has 2,178 article views at eHow.com.

Cuesta continues:  “It’s also hard to find the good ones – like mine – because there’s a flood of similar ones that precede it.  How can anyone expect to wade through 500 potential articles just to find the good one?  So the direct link to access all my articles at eHow.com is this:
