On November 3rd, 2008 Oklahoma Technical College signs agreement to partner with Snap-On Industrial. This agreement states that Snap-On will be the exclusive brand standard tool supplier of hand tools, power tools, tech products, diagnostic products, and equipment for the Automotive Technology program.
“It has been a professional pleasure working with a first class company such as Snap-On. As the gold standard in hand tools and equipment, OTC students will be exposed to the best training the automotive industry has to offer,” said CEO Teresa Knox. Snap-on is providing support to the campus not only on a local level, but at a corporate level from installation, faculty training and marketing.
Oklahoma Technical College, which is set to begin classes February 9th, 2009 is now one of eight nationally recognized Snap-on Regional Education Centers of Excellence and Certification Center. In Oklahoma Technical College’s Automotive Technology program students will learn things such as front-end alignment, brakes, automatic transmissions, engine performance and much more. Upon graduation, automotive technology students will earn a Snap-On tool box with a retail value of $4,000. Graduates will be fully prepared for the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification, with standards set forth by National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation Inc. (NATEF), in all 8 performance areas.
