Daikin launches new G-series

A new range of indoor and outdoor split wall mounted air conditioning units have recently been presented by Daikin.  The European branch of Daikin began in around 1972, and has a reputation for providing high quality and innovative products in their field.  They offer a range of air conditioning equipment including split, multi split, VRV (variable Refrigerant Volume), chilled water and packaged products.  Daikin can provide for private homes, as well as industrial and commercial air conditioning needs.  The company’s ongoing commitment to the environment is evident in their latest releases.

The new G-series of split wall mounted units aim to increase energy efficiency.  The models have attained A labels for all classes as EER and COP levels have been increased by around 18%.  EER (Energy Efficiency Ratio) and COP (Coefficient of Performance) are used to measure how energy efficient air conditioning units are. The units have an energy saving mode that automatically kicks in when it has not detected any people in the area for twenty minutes.  Similar technology also allows the air flow to be carefully controlled so it is not aimed directly at nearby people, and horizontal auto swing has been added to the vertical auto swing that already featured in previous models.  Another feature of the latest models is flexibility – different settings can be set for each day of the week so use can be tailored to individual needs.  The new remote control has more features than before, and the unit as a whole aims to be as user friendly and reliable as possible.  Daikin say that the units can be used alongside existing products – for example a G-series outdoor unit can be with most Daikin indoor units.

These new units are yet another step forward in making air conditioning more efficient and both environmentally and user friendly.
