Steel City Bandsaw
The Steel City Bandsaw (14" model 50100) is now available with two accessories which allow resawing lumber up to 12" wide into thinner boards. A rip fence (model 50405) and 12" height attachment riser block (model 50400) are now included in a special Steel City bandsaw package deal offered by national woodworking tool supplier Highland Woodworking of Atlanta, Georgia.
The company has purchased 100 of the industrial duty 1.5 HP 14" Steel City bandsaws as part of a year-end manufacturer closeout of discontinued 2008 models, and is marketing the complete package for $699.99 plus shipping cost via its website at www.highlandwoodworking.com and also in its monthly electronic publication, Wood News. Purchased separately, the three units in the package deal previously sold for $989.97.
Paired with Highland Woodworking's signature high-performance bandsaw resawing blade, the Wood Slicer, the fully equipped Steel City bandsaw package is capable of filling the needs of most small commercial woodworking shops as well as ones operated part-time by serious amateur woodworkers.
