Each breast is inspected and cleaned before being processed. We use no fillers, preservatives or additives, just white chicken breast meat. Dehydration captures all of the nutrients for the benefit of the dogs. Baking or roasting destroys the enzymes which helps with the digestive system.
After dehydration the chips are tested with a moisture meter to insure the moisture has been removed and a moisture pak is placed in each container while in storage and included in each bag for shipment.
How did this all start? I was frustrated with dog treats being made in China. I decided it was time to make a good healthy nutritous treat for my dogs. Present dog treats, all or just about all, have preservatives, additives, filler and Red Dye 40 in them for color. My doggie chips are made here in Florida, USA.
Here are some comments from some of my customers:
"I'm so glad that my sister introduced me to your Doggie Chips. Better yet, my dog Scooter is even happer. Finally, a treat that is good for him." Donna F.
"The first time I purchased Kennelmaster's Gourmet Doggie Chicken Chips I had tucked them away safely in my purse. On my way home that day, I picked up my Lhasa Apso from the groomer. While driving home I noticed she had buried her face in my purse and I was puzzled by this. Then I realized that she could smell the new treats I had just bought for her. There was no getting her nose out of my purse all the way home. The Doggie Chicken Chips have been her favorite treat ever since!!" Nancy A.
"If I only had a video camera to take pictures of Chico's face when he is waiting for me to give him a Doggie Chicken Chip. I hold back and he has the cutest look of anxiousness like...well Mommy, where are they...I want them now...all the while he is standing on his hind legs with his front paws on my sirt and scratching me to give them to him. Don't know what I would ever do if you stop making these." Bonnie C.
"The word "TREAT" is all he needs to hear and he comes running and spinning around in circles, and barking short little barks until he gets his way." Linda T.
