Verizon Communications, the Fortune 500® telecommunications company, has acquired a 5 Kilowatt PurePowerD™ Mobile Solar Power System™ for it telecommunications operations. The company will use the solar energy system to power remote cellular towers, and other off-grid applications.
“Verizon has a huge, distributed infrastructure of cell towers and repeaters, many of which are far from power lines,” says Chris Wheaton, Pure Power Distribution’
Pure Power Distribution custom-designed its Mobile Power System for Verizon with unique features that are necessary for its remote telecom operations. Such customization is normal for Pure Power. “Whether our customer is involved in telecom, entertainment, agriculture, construction equipment leasing or any other industry,” says Norris Lozano, the company CEO, “ if they need pure, clean power with no fuel costs, no noise and no emissions, we can provide the solution.”
Many remote power applications require not only a generator, but also the fuel to run the equipment. A Mobile Solar Power System requires no fuel or refilling, thus eliminating this requirement.
