ORANGE, Texas – Shermco Industries, a leading provider of rotating apparatus and electrical power system testing, commissioning, repair, maintenance and training, recently donated a total of $15,000 to three families affected by Hurricane Ike in Orange, Texas.
Shermco and its employees donated $5,000.00 to each of the families that were identified, doing so with ten $500 Visa gift cards.
“Our thoughts are with all those who were affected by the recent hurricane, ”said Ron Widup, executive vice president of Shermco Industries. “The damage from Ike was unlike any seen in recent history, and each family that received our donation was a testimony to the widespread devastation felt by so many on the gulf coast, and we are happy give our assistance in helping them through a difficult recovery.”
Hurricane Ike marks the third large electrical disaster recovery operation that Shermco Industries has been involved with in the last 18 months. The company has also aided in recovery efforts of the Verdigris River Flood in Coffeyville, Kan. and the Cedar River Flood in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
