Medimix International to Present at PBIRG University Session at AGM – May 18, 2009- Phoenix, AZ

Miami, FL  -  Medimix International, a leader in global healthcare marketing research, for life science industries announced today that its CEO, Henry Gazay, will be conducting a University Session entitled “Brave New Worlds: Emergence of Innovation in the E7 Countries“on May 18th at the Annual General Meeting of the Pharmaceutical Business Intelligence and Research Group ( May 17-20, 2009) in Phoenix, Arizona.

PBIRG is a US-based industry association dedicated to the advancement of global healthcare marketing research, business intelligence, and strategic planning. In addition to promoting the image of the industry, its objective is to provide its members with education and training workshops and to provide a forum for the discussion of the major issues confronting the industry.

The theme of this year’s AGM is “Innovation” and will seek to offer its members creative solutions to the challenges facing the pharmaceutical companies as they move into a world of uncertain financial conditions, strained budgets, expiring patents, and declining sales in mature markets.  

The Medimix presentation will focus on the specific challenges and enormous opportunities presented by marketing to the extremely diverse cultures of the E7 “pharmerging markets”, with particular emphasis on what are known as the BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India and China).  

“The crucial challenge faced by global life science companies is to understand the new cultural and political forces at stake and to adapt their marketing strategies to widely different countries, in different languages, many times continents apart,” said Henry Gazay, CEO of Medimix International.  “Innovation is needed to overcome limiting factors such as the absence of official programs that collect sufficient epidemiological data or evaluate the prevalence of certain diseases. New marketing research techniques, mixed with a deep understanding of local cultures, are necessary to produce information that will help maximize opportunities in these challenging countries.“

With twenty years of experience conducting international market research in more than 60 countries, and in particular more than 10 years experience with pan-Asia projects, Mr. Gazay will focus on the innovations now available for conducting efficient, cost-effective data collection and analysis-- simultaneously in multiple emerging countries .
