Website Developed for STD/HIV Internet Interventions using open source software

Feb. 3, 2009 - PRLog -- Adelson Consulting Services and Internet Interventions Incorporated, has launched the WIKI website Internet Interventions (www.InternetInterventions.org) as a free public service to keep the National Guidelines for Internet-based STD and HIV Prevention current and act as a repository for protocols and other documentation that support Internet Interventions focused on sexual health and disease intervention.

The website has been developed using the open source MediaWiki software (http://tinyurl.com/AboutWiki) allowing any registered member to make changes to the pages.

In addition to the hosing the National Coalition of STD Directors’ (NCSD) ‘National Guidelines for Internet-based STD and HIV Prevention’ in WIKI format, the website also houses IPS guidelines and protocols from several departments of health, outreach information from community based organizations, CDC Fact Sheets on Partner Services (PS), CDC ‘Dear Colleague’ letters regarding the Internet, minutes from the STDPreventionOnline.org groups National Internet-based partner Services (NIPS), guides to working with Internet venues such as Manhunt and Adam4Adam, and documents related to IPS research and journal articles.
