Daytona Beach, Florida, USA –- Phoenix East Aviation, Inc. (PEA) announces a training agreement with Middle East Airlines AirLiban (MEA). Starting in February 2009, Phoenix East Aviation will train Middle East Airlines AirLiban students to be professional airline dispatchers for the airline. This intense six-week training will take place in Beirut, Lebanon at the MEA facility and be conducted in accordance with curriculum provided by PEA, developed to meet ICAO and Lebanese aviation authority requirements.
Phoenix East Aviation, Inc. provides FAA-approved, comprehensive airline dispatcher training, as well as pilot training for students from countries throughout the world. The academy is also well-known internationally for its professional flight instruction in FAR Part 141 and FAR Part 61 private, commercial and multi-engine professional programs and courses. PEA is nationally accredited in the US and has visa form authorization by the US State Department for M-1 and J-1 visas for international students. Headquartered in Daytona Beach, Florida, where the climate permits flight operations 350+ days a year, the school has been in continuous operation since 1972.
Middle East Airlines was established in 1945 with service from Beirut, Lebanon to destinations in the Gulf. In 1963, after a merger with AirLiban, MEA added new European, Middle Eastern and West African routes to its worldwide network.
