SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA:
Independent Investment Bank Lincoln Crowne & Company today announced the launch of the Lincoln Crowne Foundation.
The Lincoln Crowne Foundation is aimed at providing support for grass roots charities in Australia & the developing nations of Asia and the Pacific Islands which focus on the improvement of the lives of children.
Commenting on the initiative the Foundation’s Co—Chair and CEO, Nicholas Assef stated : “Lincoln Crowne & Company with its Asia Pacific focus has come into contact with many small charities that struggle to raise funding, but yet do so much good in their local communities. As such it has been decided that the Firm should launch its own Foundation in an effort to both financially contribute to these causes and also assist in the showcasing of their efforts and the small miracles that they perform”.
Assef continued : “ The primary focus of the Foundation will be to assist in charities that seek to improve the lives of children. Examples include rehabilitating & educating street kids, ridding the developing nations of child labour and enriching the lives of orphans”.
The Foundation has targeted a number of initiatives for support, which will be announced over the coming days. Additionally, the Foundation’s goal is to progress to supporting with regular financial contributions up to 10 charitable causes over the period of 2009 and 2010.
