Hyatt Regency Dubai, the luxury five-star landmark hotel located on the historical shores of the Deira Corniche, will host the awards ceremony and gala night that will close the TOTAL TRANS-EMIRATES CLASSIC CAR RALLY 2009. All cars will be showcased in the late afternoon in the hotel’s front car park on Thursday, 5 February.
President of the UAE Automobile & Touring Club, Mohammed Bin Sulayem, is patron of the rally, which started on 31 January 2009 in Dubai and involved more than 40 classic cars. For five days, more than 140 participants hit the road to cover a distance of 800km throughout the emirates. The classic cars, among them Porsche, Morgan, Cadillac and many more, date from 1930 to 1975. With stages in Sharjah, Ajman, Al Hamrah, Khasab, Fujairah, Al Ain and Abu Dhabi, the rally comes to a close in Dubai with a special ceremony. As a classic among five-star hotels, Hyatt Regency Dubai is the perfect choice to host the awards ceremony that will honour the drivers and their vehicles that have made history.
The participating cars are expected at the hotel’s front car park between 5:00pm and 6:00pm on Thursday, 5 February. For spectators, car-lovers and enthusiasts, this is a unique opportunity to take a closer look and marvel at these outstanding means of transportation.
Both cars and drivers deserve recognition and will, therefore, be honoured later that night at a prestigious awards ceremony. The ceremony and the accompanying gala dinner will take place on the lawns of the hotel’s golf park.
