A number of enthusiastic Photographers built up what can only be described as a service for the Photographic community after long analysis of similarly called services. The growing number of great photography tutorials and lessons scattered around the internet was the key driver to build a unique service that collects these tutorials together and classifies them into different categories.
The collection however is incentive based and relies on Ad revenue sharing as well as online contests. "The revenue sharing approach seems to be a great driver and gives us the chance to stay with the from the user for the user approach", says Mr. Rommel a key person in the initiative.
"Overstepping the 50 tutorial mark in three days, was an important milestone for us and showed us that the community was looking for such a service", he continues "and allowing the registered users to gain some of the revenue through revenue sharing is a big plus as well".
The goal of Go-DSLR.com is of course to become one of the leading tutorial sites where photographers and hobbyists look for specific tutorials on specific topics or to get an introduction video to a new camera that they bought. The site is currently entirely funded by private people and the goal is to become self sufficient and let the community take part in it's success. The community driven approach of Go-DSLR.com has caught the interest of a growing number of enthusiasts and the service is gaining strong momentum.
