C. L. Freire's Writers Together Website Officially Launches

Feb. 1, 2009 - PRLog -- After several months of planning and creating, C. L. Freire has officially launched the highly-anticipated author promotion website, named after the Myspace page she created in 2007: WRITERS TOGETHER. To-date, she has met and befriended thousands of writers, many New York Times Best Sellers, and countless fresh voices vying for the success and recognition some of the most talented authors have earned during their illustrious careers.

C. L., an author herself, knows full-well the importance of marketing oneself, and how difficult it can be at times. A strong advocate of "Letting your voice be heard," she wanted to give writers a place to come, meet, discover new authors, and be introduced to the work of authors of different genres.

The success of the Writers Together Myspace page was astounding, but its limits were felt by C. L., who wanted to do more. Taking that desire to help authors everywhere, she set out on a venture to develop the official Writers Together website. Having created TREI Literary, an online publication in 2007, C. L. decided to take what she had done there to the next level. And so the official Writers Together website was born.

WT will spotlight authors from all genres and levels of success, from the New York Times best sellers, to the newer voices in the literary world. For its launch, C. L. contacted several authors including Jordan Dane, author of the highly-acclaimed NO ONE series, and Cynthia Leitich Smith, award-winning author of TANTALIZE and the upcoming sequel, ETERNAL, as well as several other authors from various genres. The spotlights will feature author biographies, book descriptions, excerpts and links to where readers can purchase the books, and much more.

Also featured are interviews with Cynthia Leitich Smith, Louise Bohmer (Senior Editor with Lachesis Publishing), and J. B. Kohl.

The website will also offer authors the opportunity to announce their books in the BOOK WATCH section, as well as offer short fiction, and a bevy of resources and links for writers of genres such as Horror, Fantasy, Noir, Mystery, Suspense, Thriller, and Romance, with more to come in the future.

"I know how hard this business can be, so I really wanted Writers Together to be something truly special," says, C. L. Freire, "a place for every writer, every voice, and every taste."

And in keeping true to her mantra of "Letting your voice be heard," she vows to be faithful to the work found in the Featured Fiction section, a section dedicated to the short fiction submitted by authors. "Some websites many feel the need to censor the voices of some authors, but doing that would go against everything I believe, in terms of writing," C. L. Freire says. "This industry is very much a tapestry of creativity, and restricting an author's voice and style would only weaken the craft as a whole."

With the website now complete, C. L. intends to continue reaching out to authors in an effort to bring together writers from across the globe, and inspire those with the desire to delve into what C. L. calls "the most amazing path in the creative world."

With all that the Writers Together website offers, C. L. Freire promises this is only the beginning of what she has in store for everyone with a passion for the written word.
