On Feb 5th, New York Fashion Connect will present the 2009 Rose A La Mode Fashion Show, showcasing 14 emerging designers in tribute to the eclectic mix of cultures that has driven style in New York City. This unique event happening pre- New York Fashion Week gives handpicked designers the opportunity to present their collections to editors, stylists, media, buyers, celebrities, along with an assortment of industry tastemakers and influencers. The event will take place Thursday, February 5th at the Westside Loft in New York City.
Bridging the gap in historical fashion trends, NYFC’s Rose a la Mode 09 Fashion Show will bring together and high end couture pieces on one stage. Claiming the catwalk this season are celebrated designers: Vintage Hazel, Sapphire Cordial, Sara Romoli, Phalon De'shun Fashions, Fulani, Dzhavael, Jinxedaposed, Runway Denim, The 3rd Eye, Consciously Hip, DPRC, Noihsaf, Gwen Beloti, and Sylvio Kovacic.
This spring season will introduce a new class of designers. While paying homage to the very trends these designs conceived from, an emergence of beautiful new collections will blossom before your eye while helping to support charity. A portion of the night’s proceeds will support GEMS (Girls Educational and Mentoring Services), the only non-profit in New York State providing specialized services to commercially sexually exploited and trafficked girls and young women.
Hosted by Mike Barber (I Want to Work for Diddy) and Stephanie Tejada (Signature Hits Magazine) along with VIP gift bag donations from South Pole Footwear and Liquid Lightning Energy Drinks this is sure to be a an event you don’t want to miss. The growing list of special guests and celebrities include: VH1! Glam God Winner Indashio, Team Blackout (MTV’s Runs House), Retro Kidz, Jessica Rich (VH1!
