On Friday, January 30, Kyle Bazemore, Senior Manager of Infiniti Product Communications, announced, “Infiniti is pleased to attend Infiniti of Scottsdale’s March track event at Firebird International Raceway.”
Infiniti will send Product Development Engineers from its Arizona Proving Grounds to the event, marking the first direct interface between Infiniti product development staff and Infiniti owners in a performance driving environment at a sanctioned racetrack.
Bazemore continued, “We invite you to join us. We are bringing the all-new G37 Convertible, and you will be among the first to see this all-new Model which goes on sale later this spring. Infiniti will also display Infiniti G Coupes that were showstoppers at SEMA, the annual Las Vegas performance auto show. Included will be one specially modified by STILLEN.”
Bazemore also said, “IOS Trackdays participants who drive our G Sedan will be invited to talk with Infiniti engineers about their cars. We are particularly interested in G Sedan owners input regarding what they like best about their Infiniti, and where they think Infiniti can improve. We look forward to sharing with Infiniti fans and performance enthusiasts a day of inspired performance, the kind that only Infiniti and our owners can provide.”
Infiniti of Scottsdale was the first Infiniti facility built in the United States, and it served as the training venue for all American Infiniti Dealers when the brand was being introduced in 1989 and 1990. The emphasis of IOS Trackdays Events is performance and safety instruction. IOS Trackdays IV will be on the tight and technical Firebird West Track. Infiniti G Sedans & Coupes, EX35, FX35, & FX50 Crossovers, M35 Sedans and even a Q45 are among the early registrants. All skill levels are invited to participate, from novice to advanced. Classroom sessions are required for new participants and as always, there will be in-car, on-track coaches for all new and most intermediate drivers. IOS Trackdays events are designed to be fun for the drivers and their families. Breakfast, lunch, snacks and beverages are provided. DJ hosted music is provided in the pit and registration areas. Participants are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, pop-up canopies and other "tailgating"
Professional race car driver, Amy Elizondo, will again provide all-day high-performance demonstration rides in an Infiniti G or M. All are invited to ride along and see how excellent track lines result in very smooth, seemingly effortless high speeds. Classroom participation is not required to ride along. Elizondo has been a regular contributor to IOS Trackdays events.
