“Recognizing Our Past, Shaping Our Future”
is the theme for the One Hundred Black Men, Inc. of New York City (OHBMNY) 29th Annual Benefit Gala honoring:
• Hon. Thomas P. DiNapoli, New York State Comptroller, with the Distinguished Service Award;
• R. Donahue Peebles, CEO and Chairman, The Peebles Corporation, with the Corporate Citizen Award;
• Malcolm D. Reid, M.D., M.P.P., Chairman, Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, St. Luke's - Roosevelt Hospital Center, with the Distinguished Physician Community Service Award; and
• John W. Rogers, Jr., Chairman and CEO, Ariel Investments, with the Corporate Education Award.
The Black Tie gala will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2009, at the New York Hilton Grand Ballroom, 1335 Avenue of the Americas between 53rd and 54th Streets. The event features a VIP and a general reception at 6:30 p.m. Dinner and awards begin at 7:30 p.m. followed by dancing.
