FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Feb 01, 2009 -
Danville, VA - CyberMetrix, a leading integrator of diesel engine testing systems, complete modular test cells, and related hardware, announced today that it will partner with the Advanced Vehicle Research Center in Danville, Virginia, to develop a test facility for Diesel Electric Hybrids and Hybrid Electric Vehicles at the AVRC Virginia location.

The joint venture will build on the extensive experience of CyberMetrix in the field of diesel engine development, testing, and emissions compliance while expanding into the rapidly developing technologies of diesel/electric hybrids.

This testing facility will provide testing services for commercial and academic users.  The joint venture will build on the expertise of both companies in new technologies.

The AVRC facility will include a research and design center in the Cyber Park in Danville, Virginia.  Additionally, the company will construct a closed-loop natural terrain military and off-road test track on a site near the Danville Regional Airport.  The track will be used to test manned and unmanned military vehicles and off-road vehicles, especially diesel-electric hybrids.  Construction is scheduled for completion in June of 2009.

AVRC Executive Director Dick Dell said, "AVRC has been at the forefront of alternative fuel research and hybrid vehicle technologies.  Our goal is to make the Piedmont, Virginia, area a recognized center for automotive research.  Hybrids, and especially diesel electric hybrids, are ground-breaking technologies that will support that goal.  CyberMetrix' advanced test technology is ideally suited for testing a wide variety of powertrain and vehicle architectures due to its flexibility and range - which includes extensive support for performance, emissions, and durability testing."

CyberMetrix President Pete Palladino stated that "CyberMetrix is very pleased to partner with AVRC in this new endeavor.  We are excited to combine our expertise with AVRC to focus on advanced powertrains and energy management.  CyberMetrix' technology is well-suited to application in these areas, and our personnel will nicely complement the AVRC team."
