Jan. 29, 2009 - PRLog -- SAN FRANCISCO- Lane Kennedy Eco Spokeswoman of Lane Kennedy Eco Living and More than a Model (MTAM) is on a mission to educate more than kids!  Have you ever stood at the wall of confusing Compact Fluorescent Lighting (CFL) shrugging indifferently as you grabbed one of the curly bulbs only to find out afterwards that the light buzzes or is the wrong size? What about all the confusion of water purity and water bottles?  Or what are all those ingredients in your skincare?  Do they really work?  Are they necessary or are they causing other problems?  Oh, and tell me again what are phthalates that I saw on my expensive skincare label, what is the big deal with lead being in my lipstick?

Here’s an idea:  How about learning to take charge of your eco life without the confusion, challenge and wasted cash!  Learn how to save money through simple, eco-friendly changes that Lane discloses in her interactive workshops.

Lane Kennedy, the San Francisco Eco-ista has created a solution for you.  After working with kids and teens for the past three years with More Than A Model: Creating Model Citizens and Real Kids Magazine she has discovered and created fun informational workshops to show you how to effortlessly take part in a healthy, green eco life.

On January 31 from 3:00p.m. to 5:00p.m. at the lower level at 77 O’Farrell Street , on the corner of Stockton and O’Farrell in San Francisco. Call 415-601-6883 to RSVP.

Lane Kennedy of ECO LIVING is teaming up with BARNEYS NEW YORK of San Francisco and NUDE SKINCARE for an interactive Eco Chic Workshop.  Facials with NUDE skincare will be highlighted along with makeup application, and organic hair care.

“It’s all about education.  I mean who wants to spend money on products that are carcinogenic and harmful to you?  The beauty industry spends hundreds of thousands of dollars on marketing, blinding the consumer with touched up, unrealistic images of women, but neglects to tells us what is really in their product,” says Lane Kennedy, Eco advocate and spokeswoman.  Kennedy’s approach teaches people to implement informed small changes.  “Start with your deodorant then move to your lotion, take the time to know what it is that you are placing on your skin, after all- it’s the largest organ of your body.”

Lane Kennedy Eco Living Workshops and her Eco Chic Workshops are for anyone interested in learning how to improve one’s life as well as effectively taking part in an eco, green, organic lifestyle without the hassle.
