The server-based solution “AND Mobile“ of the Munich-based unified communications (UC) specialist ANDTEK runs on the iPhone as well as on the so-called Android or Google mobile phones being launched on the German market within the first quarter.
With smartphones integrated into the UC solution the users have the possibility to employ their smartphone for business communication via the secure https protocol and to communicate via the company network. The loss of data is impossible since data can only be recalled via internet and is not stored on the mobile devices. Thus it is possible that mobile workers can have access to company databases like e.g. CRM data (Customer Relationship Management) via smartphone.
On top of this secure access to services there is the advantage that applica-tions have not to be installed on the mobile phone. This way it is possible to realize a fast migration of a great number of users into the company network and it is a lot easier to realize the use of mobile phones of different manufac-turers.
By the integration into the company network the entire communication can be done via a company number (Single Number Reach), no matter if one in-itiates the phone call with company desk phone or the mobile phone. Additionally users have access to the company call list even if they are away. Since the communication is controlled by the company communications infrastructure, phone conferences can be done via smartphone independent from the location and with any number of participants. The existing conference services of the company network are used to carry out the confe-rences.
Another feature shows the status of all company phones on the user's smart-phone and they can see, which colleagues are available. Therefore the num-ber of unnecessary calls is strongly reduced und communication is done more efficiently.
