Miss Teen Somerset-World, Amy Elizabeth Correll
The Miss Teen Kentucky-World organization continues to select area representatives to compete for the title of Miss Teen Kentucky on March 28th 2009 in Somerset Kentucky, at the Center for Rural Development. The winner of this pageant will move on to compete in Miss Teen US -World in Houston Texas in July and then on to Miss Teen World! Amy Elizabeth Correll of Pulaski County High School (somerset) was crowned this week, as Miss Teen Somerset-World. Amy is a Pulaski County Area Health Occupation Students of America leader, a volunteer childrens camp counselor , and student leader in church youth group. Amy loves traveling, working out, competing in pageants, playing the harp ,volunteering at local health care centers, and hosting foreign exchange students. Lisa Clark, the Executive Director of Miss Teen Kentucky-World and Miss Kentucky US International says it is a great honor to be selected as an area representative. "This is an historical event for the Teen Kentucky-World program", says Clark, "It is the first year we have brought the Teen World system to Kentucky. This has become a very large, talked about event, and all representatives of areas throughout the region will be recorded and displayed throughout the years, as the first area title holders in the history of this Kentucky pageant.
