Guests of the Williams Cottage Inn will be in for a warm welcome from new Resident Innkeepers, Bette and Merle Van Liere. Both hailing from South Dakota, the couple brings strong Midwestern work ethics and a desire to become active in their new community. They are looking forward to meeting and working with fellow Chamber businesses to create the best experience possible for their guests.
Bette and Merle join the Williams Cottage in after working in the Hudson Valley at a 13 guest room inn located near West Point Military Academy. Under the Van Lieres’ supervision Cromwell Manor was named one of New York’s Top Ten Bed & Breakfast Inns. Noted for the delicious gourmet breakfasts prepared by the couple, such as Apple Strudel with Devonshire Crème and Eggs Benedict, previous guests are sure to follow the innkeepers to Long Beach Island to enjoy more delicacies. The Van Lieres' are elated to be so close to the ocean and is honored to be appointed Innkeepers in such a romantic and comfortable Bed and Breakfast.
The Williams Cottage Inn in Beach Haven, a circa 1886 Queen Anne style Victorian inn has been meticulously restored, featuring a grand entry foyer, formal dining room, large library and eight richly appointed guest rooms, each finished like a work of art with opulent furnishings and elegant bathrooms. The Williams Cottage Inn is a member of the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce and has been working closely with the Destination Marketing efforts that the office has undertaken.
Bette and Merle are looking forward to meeting their new neighbors and becoming part of the Long Beach Island tradition.
