WorldTracker GPRS Tracking System Continues as Top Choice for Kids

Parents simply log in to GPS tracking software to view the location of their child as reported by the WorldTracker GPRS device

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Jan 28, 2009 -
Burlingame—Since it was named the best GPS tracking device for kids in a special report issued by GPS Magazine in July 2008, the WorldTracker GPRS continues to be TrackingTheWorld’s most popular tracking device purchased by parents for their children.

Gilbert Walz, CEO of TrackingTheWorld, Inc., said the firm expects brisk sales of the WorldTracker to continue through 2009 based on the increased use of GPS tracking systems and GPS tracking software as  a reliable and affordable option for tracking children.  “We are quite pleased with the GPS Magazine report, and feel that it drew much-needed attention to some important issues for parents of small children.”

The WorldTracker GPRS is a small, handheld GPS tracking system which works with GPS tracking software to report the location of the carrier 24 hours per day, from anywhere in the world.  The GPS tracker is self-contained and water-resistant and can be carried on the person, similar to a cell phone, or carried in a backpack or handbag.  “When using the WorldTracker, parents can simply place it in their child’s school bag, or on their clothing.  It requires no operation by the child, and will continue to work until parents turn it off or the battery needs to be charged,” said Walz.

Using a computer with Internet access, parents simply log in to GPS tracking software to view the location of their child as reported by the WorldTracker GPRS device.  In addition, the software provides options for alerting parents when a child leaves a pre-determined area such as their own neighborhood.  “The ability to view a child’s location and movements at any time offers a peace of mind not found with cell phones,” said Walz.

According to the GPS Magazine report, 9 GPS tracking systems were reviewed and rated on a number performance factors, including ease of use, reliability, and effectiveness in a range of environments including basements, outdoor settings, and movie theatres.  Upon conclusion of the review, GPS Magazine described the WorldTracker GPRS as “unrivaled” among all the devices tested.

Concerned by escalating reports of abductions, consumers are increasingly turning to GPS tracking systems and GPS tracking software as personal security devices for children and adults.  According to the National Crime Information Center, reports of missing people have increased by 500 percent in the last 20 years, with a vast majority of cases involving juvenile females.  “GPS technology provides an affordable and convenient personal protection option for people of any age,” said Walz.

TrackingTheWorld, Inc. is a leading developer of GPS technology and GPS tracking software for personal and business use.   For more information about TrackingTheWorld, please visit www.trackingtheworld.com or call 650-692-8100.
