Miss Teen Pulaski Co. - World, Allie Katherine Eberly
As the months progress, the Miss Teen Kentucky-World organization continues to select area representatives to compete for the title of Miss Teen Kentucky on March 28th 2009 in Somerset Kentucky, at the Center for Rural Development. Allie Katherine Eberly, of Somerset, Kentucky, this week, was awarded the title of Miss Teen Pulaski Co.-World. Allie is the daughter of Dr. Steven and Silver Eberly and a student of Pulaski County High School, in Somerset, Ky and is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at Pulaski County High School and a participant in the Gifted and Talented Program. Allie has volunteered in the Head Start Program, participated in the Race for the Cure, and conducted a rummage sale for Autism Research at Riley Childrens Hospital. She has also volunteered as a member of the support cast in a film production at Somerset Community College. Allie loves art, theater, fashion design, photography, creative writing, health and fitness, and scientific research. In 2007, she received a 1st place award issued by the U. S. Department of Health and Human Services, the U. S. Navy and Marine Corp, and the Discovery Channel for her research on high fructose corn syrup and its affect on the human body at the Science Fair sponsored by the University of Southern Indiana. Lisa Clark, the Executive Director of Miss Teen Kentucky-World and Miss Kentucky US International says it is a great honor to be selected as an area representative. "This is an historical event for the Teen Kentucky-World program", says Clark, "It is the first year we have brought the Teen World system to Kentucky. This has become a very large, talked about event, and all representatives of areas throughout the region will be recorded and displayed throughout the years, as the first area title holders in the history of this Kentucky pageant.
