In response to the overwhelming need for public assistance in the Lebanon, Missouri area, the Lebanon Area Human Resources Association will be sponsoring a free Help Fair on Saturday, February 14, 2009 from 8 am – 12 pm at the Cowan Civic Center.
“As a group of HR professionals from the Lebanon area, we are painfully aware of how the current economic crisis is negatively affecting such a large group of our population,”
The Help Fair will be free of charge and will consist of approximately thirty area organizations that will provide advice and guidance on issues ranging from credit counseling to health and human services and career retraining.
“It is our hope that area residents in need of assistance will take the opportunity to find out what is available, and view this as a unique opportunity to have access to a multitude of resources in one spot,” Smith said.
Area organizations who would like to participate may contact Pam Smith at 417.533.3734 or Eric Rainbolt with the Missouri Career Center at 417.532.6146.
