Sentegrity announced the purchase of Labreu Consulting a Miami, USA based firm specializing in providing sales and support of Open Source software products throughout Latin America.
A spokesperson for Sentegrity said, "This acquisition will further expand Sentegrity's presence in the region and now provides us more people in countries where we had little or no presence before. This is good for Sentegrity, but better for our growing client base." Sentegrity is the exclusive distributor of all Xandros products and services in Central and South America, Mexico and the Caribbean.
Labreu Consulting currently operates in most of the Spanish speaking countries in the region as well as Brazil. The union is intended to grow Sentegrity's sales and technical base and is part of an aggressive expansion campaign that the firm is undertaking in the region. Labreu will operate as Sentegrity and their staff will be absorbed.
James Largotta, Managing Director for Xandros in the region commented on the acquisition by saying, "We see the growth of Sentegrity as a very positive thing for Xandros in the region, we will continue to work very closely with Sentegrity in the region and are excited by their continued expansion."
