Free platform delivers virtual career networking and free internship recruiting in tough economy.

Pleasanton, CA-January 27, 2009 - nuResume, the first free career networking platform for students to market themselves online and network with employers, announced today the winners of its four Star Student Contests. Think American Idol but for college students competing to win guaranteed internship interviews, a trophy, recognition and employer attention. Judges from leading companies such as PG&E and Kaiser judged the Accounting, Healthcare, Energy and Government contests. Contestants were limited to students on the Dean's list, in an Honor society or nominated by faculty, and were evaluated on their nuResume profiles for academic excellence, work experience, community impact and presentation skills. Each contest was limited to 25 contestants.

"Judging this contest was not only great fun but it's given us access to top students for our summer internships. I do believe nuResume represents the future of campus recruiting and career networking. It's become a key strategy for building our employment value proposition with students online and internship pipeline with quality students," said Julie Bonnie, Campus Recruiting Manager, Pacific Gas and Electric Company.

"We've found top students through this contest for our internship program and I'm really pleased with the results. It's also been a great way for us to build brand recognition with students," said AJ Major, Partner Vavrinek, Trine & Day.

"The Star Student Contest has really helped me build a professional online identity for internship search, and stand out from the crowd in this tough economy," said David Liang, winner of the Energy contest.
