Ameeraga Thamiz Mandram celebrated their 8th Anniversary of the association with the Chief Guest Director & Actor R.Pandiyarajan on Thursday the 22nd January 2008 at Indian Consulate in Dubai.

Jan. 27, 2009 - PRLog -- Ameeraga Thamiz Mandram celebrated their 8th Anniversary of the association with the Chief Guest Director & Actor R.Pandiyarajan on Thursday the 22nd January 2008 at Indian Consulate in Dubai.

In a traditional dress ATM members sung Tamil Prayer Greeting as a start of the programme which is the custom of Tamilians and followed by the children’s Indian dances. Mr. Kamarasan, who is one of the Executive Committee Member of ATM, gave a welcome speech.

Mr. Jegabbar, Executive Committee Member of ATM invited the Chief Guest and Special Guests to the stage and ETA M&E Division Executive Director Mr. Anwar Basha, Hong Kong Tamil Cultural Association Mr. Ayub Khan, Mr. Krishnamurthy Kumar - The founding governor of the Indian Business and Professional Council, under the aegis of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry gave a wonderful speech and wished Ameeraga Thamiz Mandram for all success in their future endeavors.

ATM’s General Secretary Mr. Farook Aliyar spoke about the achievements, footprints and future plans of ATM.

Every year ATM publishes their Annual Journal and this year’s book was released by the Chief Guest Tamil Director & Actor R.Pandiyarajan and the first copy was presented to Mr. Kumar, also the same was distributed complimentary to all the attendees.

Mr. Asif Meeran, the President of ATM made a PowerPoint Presentation on ‘How to implement Tamil in Computers’ after which Mr. Pandiarajan appreciated that people of ATM adore their language ‘Tamil’ that made them to gather hands to form a Tamil Association and praised the activities, efforts and wished them success for the growth of the association.

The highlight of the event was a Comedy debate (Pattimandram) and the topic of the debate was ‘Cinema is just a Movie or a Lesson’ which was headed by the Chief Guest Direct & Actor Mr. R. Pandiarajan in which local speakers participated. Mrs. Jazeela, Mr. Abdul Wahith, Mr. Mustafa argued that Cinema is just a Movie and Mrs. Parveen, Mr. Mohammed Raseem, Mr. Abul Kalam Azad argued that Cinema is just not a movie but a Lesson which was quite interesting and the witty comment by the judge made the audience to enjoy the whole show.

End of the show they announced for a raffle draw for ten attractive prizes which includes 32” LCD TV, Microwave Oven, Luxury Watches, Gold Coins, Lap Top kit, etc.

The show ended with the thanks message by Mr. Ahmed Mohideen, ATM’s Executive Member and they also served grand dinner.
