Follow on Google News | Santa Fe Tour Features Ritual Among the Ruins and Elders TeachingsOrganized by San Diego-based Yraceburu EarthWisdom, the 6-day excursion to northeast New Mexico includes a tour of Anasazi Ruins and ceremonial sites and dramatic healing in the mountains above Santa Fe.
By: Joe Montoya The "Places of Vision: Initiation of Innocence Pilgrimage" is scheduled for July 28 to August 1, 2009. Included in the itinerary are visits to the lesser-visited sites -- Bandelier National Monument, the El Santuario de Chimayo, and Jemez Pueblo -- as well as the better known Chaco Canyon, and Toas Pueblo, admitted to the World Heritage Society as one of the most significant historical cultural landmarks in the world, thereby joining such sites as the Taj Mahal, the Great Pyramids, and the Grand Canyon Native elders, who ordinarily keep their ancient wisdom closely guarded, have agreed to share some of their secret knowledge with outsiders. As tour members explore ancient ruins, meditate in sacred kivas and explore mysterious landscapes, they will be accompanied by Phillip Chavez, Jicarilla Apache Elder, as well as spirits of the ancient teachers. One of the most fascinating enigmas the group will study is that of the EarthKeeper Rites. "They are the preparation rituals before sitting with child like innocence with the Elders," says Gypsy Healer and EarthSpirit Photographer Lynda Yraceburu, who is one of the tour leaders. "The rituals conducted in the ruins bring us back to the understanding of our true lineage as Children of Earth." Helping the group discover the connection between the rituals and Anasazi ceremonial sites will be Maria Yraceburu, who is a 13th generation Apache diiyin, and has studied with traditional wisdom keepers around the world, now teaching about Quero Apache tlish diyan philosophy, medicine, prayers and healing. "This tour is a rare opportunity to absorb the evolutional understanding of the Indigenous EarthKeepers," # # # A non-profit organization for the reunification of Earth and Humans through programs that offer healing, spiritual awareness, personal development and community.
