The heart rate monitor uses a finger sensor attached to a small wire. The wire creates a link for data collection for prescribed off-site exercise programs and allows the information to be downloaded into a personal computer and then sent to the user’s primary care physician. This will enhance medical communications and increase the patient’s comfort and confidence in the rehabilitation program by allowing in-home exercise program prescriptions to be updated when necessary.
