Motorbike Tours
These are exciting times for Motorbike Tours; the tours are booking up nicely, they have incorporated a store into their website and they will be appearing at ‘Ally Pally’ Motorcycle show in London at the end of February.
The new online store which is run in collaboration with Amazon, offers thousands of books, maps, workshop manuals and DVD’s. Also available in the shop are items such as motorcycle clothing, crash helmets, toys, games, posters and satellite navigation systems specifically made for motorbikes. The book section is particularly extensive and contains thousands of titles related to motorcycling, so there should be something for everyone. The idea of introducing the store was not driven by profit, but by a desire to enhance the experience of visitors to the website. It’s just another aspect to the site that hopefully will make it a better place, not just to visit, but to hang around for a while.
The ‘Ally Pally Motorcycle Show’ at Alexandra Palace in London, runs for three days from February 27th to March 1st and will feature a range of motorcycle businesses from touring companies like Motorbike Tours, to manufacturers and accessory suppliers. Motorbike Tours have booked stand S22 for the duration of the show. It will be an opportunity to meet clients before they come on the tour. Usually, the first meeting between tour leaders and clients is when the tour is actually underway, so this will be a great chance for prospective tourers to meet Alan and Thoughtful Mark, who will be there at the show to answer any questions. A five percent discount is being offered to anyone who books during the three days. It is expected that the remaining places on this year’s tours will be filled pretty quickly during and shortly after the show. Thousands of bikers will be visiting the show looking for bargains and touring ideas for the coming season, so it could be a case of ’book early or be disappointed’
It’s been a cold winter in the UK and relatively cold here in Spain too, so we are all looking forward to the coming sunshine, and I’m confident that we won’t have to wait too long here in Spain. Choose from the ‘Spanish Heartland Tour’ or the ‘Grand Tour of Spain’. Both offer a really attractive antidote to the doom and gloom that seems to have enshrouded the world at the moment. The fabulous thing about motorbiking is its capacity to make you forget about everything and enjoy the moment. Add breath-taking scenery and balmy weather and you have a recipe for success. You will also feel secure in the knowledge that the back-up vehicle will be along at any moment if you are unfortunate enough to encounter a problem.
So, it’s full steam ahead for Motorbike Tours; stores, shows, whatever next? It just goes to show that running a business doesn’t have to be a mundane, depressing experience. Go to the show and look into the eyes of Alan and Thoughtful Mark, and you’ll see for yourself. The eyes never lie.
