Mike Richards is currently in the middle of his third season with the Flyers and recently made headlines for the profitable contract he scored with the team; over the next 12 years, he stands to earn a staggering $69M, the largest deal offered to a player in franchise history. He hails from hockey-Mecca Ontario, Canada, and underwent extensive grooming as a youth to prepare for his lucrative career as a professional hockey player. All the hard work has clearly paid off for the sportsman, as he appears to be at the top of his game in the NHL, despite being relatively new to the majors.
Throughout his interview with eModa.com, he spoke candidly about life on and off the ice, including his personal fashion style, future romance plans and how he plans to relax during the NHL off-season. Richards also discussed his experience as a player in the 2008 NHL All-Star Game and mentioned his charity work with the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
Richards’ backstory wasn’t the entire focus of the piece, however. eModa.com is quite well known for their high-end clothing and much space was devoted to a photo shoot of the hockey captain in some of their more popular designs, brands Five Four, Taverniti, Roar, Laguna Beach Jean Co. eModa’s resident stylist, Michelle Miller, had this to say about her experience styling Richards: “One of the best things about the Five Four collection is that each jacket and button-down manages to stand out with expert detailing, while still maintaining the appeal of a classic top. Taverniti jeans were also a top choice…this denim was great for a guy like Mike who was looking to enhance his personal style without going for anything too over-the-top.”
While sports and fashion aren’t necessarily connected in people’s minds, the pairing of hockey champ Mike Richards and the clothing experts at eModa.com was definitely a smart decision for both parties.
