Fiscal 2008 4th Quarter results are in and AAPL has quarterly revenue of $7.9 billion and net quarterly profit of $1.14B (or $1.26 per diluted share). Gross margin was 34.7% up from 33.6% year over year and int'l sales accounted for 41% of the quarterly revenue.
AAPL shipped 2.6 million Macs during the quarter, which represents 21% unit growth and 17% revenue growth year over year. Quarterly iPhone unit sales were 6.89 million up from 1.1M one year ago. In other words, AAPL has surpassed RIMM in unit phone sales.
For the year, AAPL has grown revenue 35% and generated $9.1 Billion in cash in fiscal 2008. In all, AAPL is sitting on $25 B in cash and zero debt.
I don't know how long the recession will last, but AAPL is a winner, trading at under half its 52 week high. STRONG BUY. 6 MONTH TARGET $181
