Friends turned co-founders of Ellie’s Closet proudly introduce the launch of their Spring and Summer 2009 Collection.  The pieces in this collection exude a bold and fun loving appeal staying true to Ellie’s Closet’s original design concept.  “This season held a lot of inspiration for us,” says Holli Gibson, designer for Ellie’s Closet, “We were inspired by our favorite spring and summer activities (all involving water, of course), our favorite summer fruit, our favorite childhood nursery rhymes, songs and plays, and pride in our country.”

The apparel company showed their debut collection in Spring of 2007 with the mission of providing fashion for children who have their own sense of style.  As parents themselves, Holli and Beth understand that children want fun, inspired clothing and parents want comfort, confidence and ease of care in their clothing.  Ellie’s Closet is inspired by children everywhere and vows to honor their many personalities.

The co-founders have proven that each season they will create innovative fashions with an edge.  The Spring – Summer 2009 Collection boasts yarn-dye knits and wovens, hand painted and hand dyed fabrics, intricate embroideries and unique screen prints.  As always, they continue to offer their Angel Babies™ and Photo Fairies™ collections of couture garments at boutique price points.

Ellie’s Closet is a company whose goal is to help children – from creating unique clothing pieces to help children express themselves through wearable art, to dedicating 10% of their profits to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.  Holli Gibson, Designer for Ellie’s Closet, has a long history in the fashion industry.  Gibson’s experience in designing women’s and children’s clothing for both large and small retailers has enabled the company to make it’s mark quickly in the industry, while White’s artistic bent compliments Gibson’s design experience making Ellie’s Closet a true fusion of fashion and friendship.

The Ellie’s Closet mission is not only to produce fashionably hip wearables, but those that are functional, versatile and a great value.  The duo actively seek additional distribution of their line and feel that specialty boutiques are a natural fit, while remainig open to discussing opportunities elsewhere.  The Ellie’s Closet line can be found in both traditional boutique stores as well as on-line retailers across the US.

Spring – Summer 2009 lookbooks will soon be available online at www.ElliesCloset.com.
