With the creation of her new jewelry company The M line, Macha combines her passion for the past and fashion. The M Line Jewelry is a collection of "Green" couture fashion jewelry. Macha began creating jewelry by altering vintage estate costume jewelry in 2007. Macha's background is interior design with an emphasis on textiles. She began using jewelry on her drapery and bedding collection and soon discovered she could create wearable jewelry.
As a Green business, The M line is an "opportunity to create an identity of excellence without superfluous wate," she says. Macha believes Green business practices are the responsibility of all innovation for the next centruy. "I am choosing to create a luxury line of jewelry using parts and pieces found, altered, and made into wearable art." Macha believes Green design and manufacturing has inherent beauty through the healing it offers our planet.
