ShowYourHomeTheater.com, a site that lets readers post pictures of their home theater systems and brag, explain, or apologize (or all three) about their choices, has officially launched.
The site invites everyone to submit examples of their own home theater set-up, giving others the chance to drool over what they’d like to have — as well as post praise or criticism. Whether it’s been built by a contracted professional or a DIY job, showyourhometheater.com wants to know about it.
The idea originated almost five years ago, when a group of Lawrence, Kansas friends each began a hunt for their own home theater nirvana. Realizing the hunt was as much fun as actually using their home theater systems (and knowing others out there must be as nerdily excited about home theaters as them), they put together the blueprint for an online community for home theater nuts.
Home theater victories, mistakes, accomplishments, regrets — they’re all on display at showyourhometheater.com.
