RALEIGH, N.C. – Bacon lovers, it’s back. Applewood Grill returns to Golden Corral this month for a limited time only. Now through Feb. 15, all 485 Golden Corral restaurants in 41 states are featuring three signature Applewood Grill entrees.
Back by popular demand are:
•Applewood Sirloin Filet – Thick sirloin slices seasoned and marinated for 48 hours in Golden Corral’s famous steak marinade to ensure great taste and tenderness. Wrapped in Applewood bacon, the filets are grilled and served hot off the grill.
•Applewood Chicken – Meaty, tender chicken breasts generously seasoned and wrapped in Applewood bacon before being flame-grilled and served to order.
•Applewood Pork – One-inch juicy pork filets are wrapped in Applewood bacon, seasoned, marinated and then seasoned again for a moist and flavorful entrée packed with flavor.
Starting at $9.99 (prices may vary by location), Applewood Grill is offered Monday through Saturday from 4 p.m. until closing, and Sundays starting at 11 a.m. In select locations, Applewood Grill is also available starting at 11 a.m. on Saturday. (Check local restaurants for times.)
“When we introduced Applewood Grill in 2007, customers went wild for the products,” says Chris Kuehn, chief marketing officer for Golden Corral. “Our guests love these distinctive entrees, particularly the sweet, smoky flavor of Applewood bacon. There was such demand, we decided to bring it back for a limited time for the new year.”
Marketing support for the Applewood Grill promotion includes both 30- and 15-second television advertising, as well as newspaper print advertising, direct mail and point-of-purchase materials.
