Long Beach Island Region chosen as a Great Destination in New Jersey Tourism Sweepstakes

PRLog (Press Release) - Jan. 20, 2009 - The Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that through the efforts of the Destination Marketing Organization, the New Jersey Division of Travel & Tourism  has chosen Long Beach Island Region as May’s featured package for New Jersey’s Great Destinations Sweepstakes. This is an initiative that provides visitors with an opportunity to win exciting getaway experiences at some of the state’s great destinations.  Running through June, New Jersey’s Great Destinations Sweepstakes will feature diverse multi-night packages through a partnership with DMOs throughout New Jersey.

All getaway packages needed to include a minimum of two night’s accommodations, complimentary meals and vouchers for activities and/or entertainment.  Ranging from family-friendly beach adventures, moutainside resorts, romantic retreats and landmark university towns, each month provides a new experience for visitors to discover another exciting area of New Jersey. Long Beach Island Region’s Package will be advertised in Philadelphia as May’s prize package through radio and the state website. The getaway contains 2 Night Stay at The Inn at Sea Oaks, 2 Tickets to Surflight Theatre Mainstage Theatre, Dinner for 2 at Plantation & Daddy O Restaurants, Gift  basket and complementary admission for two to Tuckerton Seaport, Welcome Basket from Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce DMO, featuring World Famous Chowderfest VIP Tickets and Merchandise.

Consumers can learn more about New Jersey’s great destinations and the sites featured in the packages by visiting the state’s tourism website (www.visitnj.org) or the websites of the media partners for the sweepstakes – B101 in Philadelphia (www.b101radio.com) and 95.5 WPLJ in New York (www.wplj.com).  Visitors to the sites can enter for a chance to win that month’s featured getaway to the Garden State.
