The Greenway Group begins 2009 with a notable addition to its team of experienced and well-networked consultants. Dave Zimmerman has joined the staff as a consulting principal.

Zimmerman has more than 30 years’ experience in design firm management. Prior to joining Greenway, he was the director of finance for mergers and acquisitions and the chief financial officer of Perkins+Will Inc., one of the largest architecture firms in the world. He played an integral role in the tremendous growth of the firm through his leadership in the finance function and the completion and successful integration of numerous domestic and international acquisitions.
“Dave Zimmerman has been an invaluable member of the Perkins+Will team for the past six years,” said Perkins+Will CEO Phil Harrison. “Dave’s greatest strength is his deep and broad experience in all financial and operational matters.”
Prior to his appointment at Perkins+Will, Zimmerman was a partner with NBBJ Design for more than 25 years, working in finance and operations. Friedrich K.M. Bohm is a former NBBJ partner and chairman who worked with Zimmerman for many years. According to Bohm, Zimmerman “possesses a deep understanding of all issues that face the practice of architecture and has an ability to work through complex issues by making them seem uncomplicated and understandable to all."
Zimmerman has an M.B.A. and is a certified public accountant licensed in Georgia and Ohio.
