The brainchild of Simon Penn, artQube is a new & innovative portable art installation aimed for use within the corporate, live event & educational marketplaces. Inspired by a conversation with a corporate client wanting to be associated with the art world but not wanting to sponsor yet another new exhibition or have a cocktail party at another new gallery, Simon set about developing something that was innovative, inexpensive to rent & most importantly portable.
artQube was then created with an underlying desire to see more people engage with art either as participators or spectators. The result is an enormous cube made up of 4 oversized stretched canvases that are each individually put together. This means that up to 4 artists can work simultaneously around the structure for display or exhibition purposes. Ideally of different genre (i.e. graffiti, contemporary, abstract, landscape) the artists will produce stunning visual images before the eyes of their watching audience in accordance to the brief given by the client. Each of the 4 canvases is then easily removed at the end of session allowing these bespoke pieces of art to either be given away, donated to a cause, auctioned or sold.
artQube is being made available in 3 guises. Either as a blank space for those that have their own ideas & artists but would like the structure to work from. Also it can be with a tutorial artist for team building or alternative client entertainment, or with 4 artists for display purposes.
Guaranteed to draw a crowd wherever it is seen, artQube could form the basis for product sampling or data capture activity for a brand, it can add value to any festival, sporting or corporate event or form part of a sponsorship activity program.
