Brothersoft started the Software Awards from 2007 and now it’s his second Awards to highlight those software masterpieces and to emphasize on developer’s efforts and dedication that resulted in better software and utilities intended to make user’s life and job easier and more efficient.
“These special Awards are divided into six "Top 10" categories: Downloads, Classic, Partners, Best New, Freeware and Games.” Quoted from Brothersoft Editor’s Blog. About sixty outstanding software are picked up and named in the top lists. Some of the awards winning software are very famous and considered as the must have for PC users.
Google Chrome is picked as the best new program in 2008, reviewed as the “browser that combines a minimal design with sophisticated technology to make the web faster, safer, and easier.” Windows Live Essentials follows as the second best new awards winner. µTorrent, a lightweight and efficient BitTorrent client for Windows and Mac, is the winner of TOP Freeware Award, Firefox is considered as the most classic program. WinZip and Photoshop are the top two downloaded software in 2008 from Brothersoft.com.
There have been over 120,000 games, utilities, and applications written for Windows PC listed in Brothersoft.com. Choosing the tops is not that easy. Brothersoft editors told us that they spent about 3 months from nominations process to final results.
