Taking Up and Getting Up

PRLog (Press Release) - Jan. 20, 2009 - Marieke Roland Holst spent ten years debilitated by illness, and through an extraordinary process of transformation, she has a new perspective on the meaning of life and spirituality. Taking Up and Getting Up chronicles her search for answers that brought her to the realization that karma -- the law of cause and effect contributed to her illness.

Her healing process began through forgiving others and letting go of chronic fear via meditation. She describes how getting to the root of her problems in past lives cleaned up “old baggage” and influenced her present life and that of her family. In the end, it restored her health.

Her book is a story of hope for the individual and humankind as a whole.

About the Author:
Marieke Roland Holst lives with her husband and two children in Assen, Netherlands. Taking Up and Getting Up was written in Dutch in 2006 and has been recently translated. Through her writing, Marieke hopes to enable others to pick themselves up.
