"It can be so difficult as our parents get older to take over the role of caregiver," said Lamb. "Joy is here to provide answers to some of the toughest and most sensitive questions about how to develop this new, loving relationship with your elderly loved ones."
Loverde is recognized as one of the leading experts on aging and eldercare. She is the author of a best-selling book on the topic, "The Complete Eldercare Planner," which has gained praise from the American Medical Association. She also has more than 25 years of experience as a media spokesperson, including appearances on the "Today" show, "CNN Headline News," "Fox News" and spots on National Public Radio. During her career, Joy has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Washington Post and LA Times, among others.
"When we plan, we have choices, and these days the possibility of managing the care of elderly loved ones is not a matter of if but when," said Loverde. "Planning, rather than waiting for a family crisis to occur, is the way to go. And if listeners are right in the middle of an eldercare crisis, they'll gain valuable tips on getting help immediately."
Loverde will join the show from Chicago, Ill., where she resides. The show will be broadcast live Jan. 19 and rebroadcast throughout the week.
