A national prestige car hire company based in East Anglia has once again questioned Gordon Brown’s commitment to improving national transport links both in timing of journeys and in price.

Mr Watson’s driver found that after delivering a car to Easenhall, Warwickshire on Friday morning for the weekend, and returning on Monday morning to collect – the convenience of a hire car was by far the more feasible option, with the train and taxi fares exceeding £110.00, with the hire car costing £35.00 for the entire 3-day weekend. The train journey would have taken over 5 hours, with the journey in the car at 2 ½ hours.
