ICONS Barack and Michelle Obama Lookalike’s Careers Lift Off

(Washington, D.C.)— As the nation prepares for a new dawn in America, two Americans begin their careers as look-alikes of the new First Couple.

ICONS which books and handles most of the leading presidential look-alikes in the industry says that it’s an important day tomorrow as his Obama look-alikes begin to cash in on their alter egos.   Dan Gore says it’s a big business for presidential look-alikes and he’s excited to begin pushing the “Obama” couple.

Sheena Harrell is the leading Michelle Obama look-alike and was discovered by New York photographer and make up artist Guy Guido.

Michael Lamar joined the industry as Barack Obama this year and its been a whirlwind for him as the real Obama has stirred up a lot of business for him.  Lamar was just recently in Paris, France working for a political group known as C.R.A.N. pushing the envelope of racial profiling in France. Lamar has also appeared in a beer commercial in the Netherlands as well as a political fundraiser in Milan, Italy.  He was also photographed for an editorial in Vanity Fair.

ICONS has been involved in delivering these candidates to conventions, trade shows and mock debates for companies around the globe.  Harrell and Lamar are both in D.C. this week for a high profile Inaugural Ball.

ICONS has been responsible for placing celebrity doubles for film and television celebrities as well as corporate events around the globe.  Dan Gore who began ICONS almost 20 years ago has placed look-alikes in movies such as Miss Congeniality 2, Bravo’s Workout, Scary Movie 3, Scary Movie 4, Date Movie, Meet The Spartans, also in television shows like Simple Life 3 and Nip/Tuck. Guy Guido works closely with Dan Gore in packaging and developing each lookalike that Gore manages.  Guido is also finishing up a documentary on “creating” look-alikes and will be publishing a pictorial of the celebrities he has created as well, appropriately entitled “ICONS”.
