Sofia, Bulgaria (January, 17th, 2009) - uCpbx Ltd releases embedded BRI Asterisk appliance

uCpbx, creators of Astfin and makers of Blackfin based family of IP-PBX appliances, announced today support for BRI connectivity through their new flagship product BR4-Appliance (IP-BRI).

Jan. 18, 2009 - PRLog -- With uCpbx’s line of IP-PBX appliances already supporting Analog and PRI (Primary Rate Interface) it was natural to add support for BRI. After over a year of development uCPbx product family has been now extended to support connectivity to digital networks over BRI (Basic Rate Interface). To maintain carrier grade voice quality, uCpbx manufactured optional hardware based Line Echo Cancellation module which can be installed by the end user.

Hardware:

   ADSP-BF537 600MHz CPU
   64MB SDRAM
   256KB serial flash for the bootloader
   256MB NAND flash for voicemail and prompts.
   SD card interface on a dedicated bus
   Hardware G.168 Line Echo Cancellation (64 ms) (optional)
   Power supply 6 - 12VDC
   Power consumption; idle state; 150 mA at 12V

Interfaces:

   Quad span ISDN (2B+1D) interface
   TE with PTP and PTMP
   EuroISDN (mISDN)
   Single 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port with high performance PHY
   RS-232 interface for console access
