West Vancouver inventory shows high competition in British Properties and Ambleside

Jan. 17, 2009 - PRLog -- West Vancouver has 31 different sub communities that all have different levels of inventory and sales competition.  In December, British Properties had the highest number of homes on the market for sale with 55.  The total value of these listings was over $123 million.  Their average list price was $2.251 million.

Ambleside also had high inventory levels with 54 properties for sale.  Their total list price values came in significantly lower than the British Properties’ at $86.7 million.  The Ambleside average house price was just over $1.6 million.


Dundarave had the third highest levels of competition.  Other areas that had double digit listings for houses on the market include Altamont,

Sales for the period were limited to 12 out of a total inventory of over 400 listings.  Dundarave sold the most with 4 sales, followed by British Properties and Ambleside with 2 sales each.  There was one sale in Caulfeild,  Eagle Ridge, Glenmoure, Westmount and Lions Bay.

There were 100 failed listings in the period, 17 in British Properties, 13 in Ambleside, 8 in Caulfeild and 8 in Dundarave.  The other sub areas all had from 1 to 6 expired listings for the period.
