When Coop Italia contacted Los Angeles-based Studiofluid to redesign their line of gourmet food packaging last fall, the two companies teamed up across the Atlantic for a successful partnership.
With over 1,300 store locations in Italy and over 100 years in business, Coop was looking to refresh their old packaging which had been in use since the mid 1990s. By now it was out of date and did not communicate the sophistication or high quality that has given Coop such a lasting reputation.
"Studiofluid regularly works with remotely located clients, across the United States and even Japan, but working with a client in europe was a first," said Owner and principal, Benjamin R. Thompson.
Coop asked Studiofluid to work within their budget and use the existing packaging structures and develop new branding & packaging. What Studiofluid came up with is a stunning design that communicates sophistication and connects with an upscale audience.
"California is far from Italy but the ideas can run very speedily."
says Domenico Brisigotti, Coop's Director of Product Brands.
And just how did the Bologna-based Coop find out about Studiofluid?
"Besides branding and packaging, we also build web sites that generate visibility and attention for our clients, and I'm glad to say that it worked for us too," Thompson said.
